I Didn’t Become A Pastor Because I Was Broke – Kas

Former singer now Pastor, Kas has cried out saying he didn’t become a Pastor because he got broke or lost out from music, but it was a covenant he made with God when he was 7 years old.

Speaking with Saturday Beats, Kas says those saying he is broke or his career is dead needs Jesus because he actually acquired two houses just from two songs and even started several businesses from proceeds of music… Hear him;

“I have done very well for myself as a musician. With just one song, I was able to build a house in Lagos. If you do not believe me, the house is at Surulere very close to Shoprite. With another song, I was able to buy another house in London. I am doing very well for myself and it is through music. I have a business, Kas water; how was I able to start the business? It was through music. I did not ask for money from my mother to do these things.

“Those haters that say that my career is dead are confused people and they need Jesus. I am not bragging and I do not need to reel out all my property on the pages of newspaper because I am not that kind of artiste. I am not the type of singer that would buy a new car or house and post it on the Instagram. That is not who I am because I am a London street boy. In the streets of London where I was raised, you don’t show off to people that you bought a new car or you show off your property; you would get robbed. It is not like Nigeria where people like to show off and use the phrase, ‘do you know who I am?’ Over there, the boys on the street would just bring out a pistol and shoot you, then steal the car. So I learnt that lifestyle and I am used to it; now that I am in Lagos, I don’t know how to brag; it is rubbish. Be content with what you have and give glory to God for it. Whoever thinks I went into the ministry of God because I could make money from it needs Jesus and they are very wrong about that notion.”
