2Baba and other musicians have been commended by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for their roles in the upcoming general election.
The electoral commission stated that the upcoming elections will be majorly for the youths who constitute 81 percent of registered voters.
The Commissions chairman, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu said this during an election summit for youths in Abuja on Tuesday, January 29, 2019.
During the summit, popular musicians were awarded for their role in the mobilization of youths to register for their Personal Voters Card which would allow them vote in the coming elections.
Among those honored at the event was Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2baba and Ambassador Ketil Karlson, Head of European Union to Nigeria and ECOWAS.
