Mikel Obi Says He Would Play At AFCON 2019

Super Eagles captain, John Obi Mikel has confirmed his return to the Super Eagles squad ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of nations (AFCON) in Egypt.

The Star player, whose return to the squad was in doubt, revealed to AOIFootball after his private meeting with the Franco-German, he has decided to feature at the continent’s biggest soccer competition which would kicks off in Egypt next month. He said;

“I met with Coach Rohr and we discussed his plans for the team in the forthcoming tournament. All I can say is that I am delighted and happy because I am coming to the Nations Cup.”
