The All Progressives Congress national working committee has appointed former governor of Oyo state, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi as its acting national chairman.
The appointment came after Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s suspension as the national chairman of the party was upheld by the Court of Appeal in Abuja on Tuesday.
The party through a statement by its national publicity secretary, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu admitted to have received the news of their national chairman’s suspension by an FCT high court being upheld by the Court of Appeal in Abuja pending the determination of a substantive suit.
“Guided by advice from the Party’s legal department in line with the provisions of Section 14.2. (iii) of the Party’s constitution, the Deputy National Chairman (South), Sen. Abiola Ajimobi will serve as the Party’s Acting National Chairman
“According to Section 14.2.
