“Hushpuppi has cases to answer” – EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has declared that Instagram celebrity and Nigeria’s most wanted hacker, Ramoni Igbalode popularly known as Hushpuppi has cases of cyber crimes against him to answer.

Spokesperson of the EFCC, Mr. Dele Oyewale in a statement on Thursday indicated that the commission recognizes ghostly details of Igbalode’s money laundering transactions involving many high-profile cyber criminals facing trial in Nigeria and following his arrest by the international police(INTERPOL) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), he has cases to answer.

“The commission is engaging with the FBI in tracing victims of his fraudulent transactions and other fraudsters having direct involvement with him. Local cyber criminals with money laundering networks with him are also being investigated.” He said “

Ramoni Igbalode was on June 10, 2020 arrested in UAE in connection with a 35 million dollars ventilator scam.
