Neymar Reportedly Tests Positive For Coronavirus

Paris Saint-Germain’s player, Neymar has, reportedly tested positive for the Coronavirus.

This comes after a holiday to Ibiza.

According to sources, Neymar, who received the test results on Wednesday morning, is in good health and following protocol.

He is currently in self-isolation for 14 days at his house in Bougival, in the west suburbs of Paris, and will miss PSG’s first game of the season, against Lens on Sept. 10, and the Classique against Marseille on Sept. 13.

Another source confirmed that Neymar is due to be retested.

Reports also have it that Neymar’s teammate, Angel Di Maria, is in self-isolation too in Paris after testing positive for COVID-19. The Argentina international also went on a holiday to Ibiza.

In addition, Teammate, Leandro Paredes, who spent his holidays with Di Maria on the Spanish island, has tested positive as well and is also in self-isolation, sources confirmed.

French sports newspaper L’Equipe are reporting that the trio were returning from holidays in Ibiza, Spain, and will now quarantine for seven days in line with health protocols.

A post on the French club’s Twitter account read:

“Three @PSG_English players are confirmed positive after a Sars CoV2 test and have undergone the appropriate health protocols.
