“The Grammys Remain Corrupt” – The Weeknd Slams Recording Academy

Internationally loved artist, The Weeknd, is calling out the Grammys for not nominating him on any category.

The artist, whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, on Tuesday, tweeted: “The Grammys remain corrupt.”

He further mentioned that the Recording Academy owes him, his fans as well as the music industry, transparency.

Some other artists, including Nicki Minaj, also expressed their unhappiness towards the Nomination committee.

Nicki Minaj mentioned losing the best new artist award in 2012 after she had 7 songs simultaneously charting on billboard & bigger first week than any female rapper in the last decade.

Justin Bieber, who was nominated for several awards including the best pop vocal album for his record, “Changes”, stated the album was made to be an R&B Record.
