MychaL Czar’s Biography And All You Need To Know About Him

Michael Obadeyi Oreoluwa, better known by his stage name MychaL Czar, is a Nigerian singer, rapper, songwriter, and actor.

MychaL Czar was born in Lagos on 6th of August,1995.

He started writing music in 2005, started freestylying with colleagues in school since 2009 and finally
dropped his first record “forever” in June, 2013.

He grew up in the mainland part of Lagos, attended CMS grammar school, then finished his secondary school in 2012 at Hebron Land college.

He further went to study mass communication at Yaba College of technology where graduated with a National Diploma in 2017. He is currently a student of English language in University of Lagos where he would graduate, 2022.

MychaL Czar also did a 20 days non-stop freestyle on instagram from November 1 to November 20, 2020.

He started in the church choir as a backup singer. This can be seen in his music as he puts strong vocal ad lib in his music.

His musical style sees a rhythmic flow in delivering metaphorical lyrics which aids an egoistic feeling and in some cases sensual atmosphere which talks about his dealings with women.

MychaL has cited several artists as influencing his musical style, including D’banj, Burna Boy, Maleek Berry and Wizkid, while also attributing various Americann hip hop and RnB artists as influential to the incorporation of the genres into his own music, including Drake, 2pac, Kanye West and Chris Brown.

MychaL has also credited several dancehall artists for influencing his Caribbean-inflected style, including Popcaan, whom he has called one of his “biggest inspirations”

His music has drawn influence from regional scenes, including Jamaican dancehall, American Hip-hop and Rap and also his own continent treasure “Afrobeats” and Afro-pop which is common among younger generation of Nigerian artists. His music has also drawn influence from the UK sounds.
