Sony Music Welcomes Mayorkun Months After Leaving Davido’s DMW

The UK arm of the global music company, Sony Music, has officially confirmed former DMW superstar, Mayorkun, as their artist.

This is coming up, months after speculations about Mayorkun’s new deal with Sony Music.

The music company, in a tweet, endorsed Mayorkun’s addition, and Mayor of Lagos also confirmed his new deal with Columbia Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music.

“Welcome to the Sony Music family, @IamMayorKun,” Sony Music UK shared alongside a picture of Mayorkun posing beside Columbia records logo.

In another tweet, Mayorkun shared beautiful images of himself exchanging pleasantries with his new executives as he captioned the photos, “Family @ColumbiaUK.”

Mayorkun, who made a massive entry into the music scene with a massive debut solo single ‘Eleko’ in 2016, has since dropped several hits including ‘Mama’, ‘Che Che’, ‘Bobo’ featuring Davido, ‘Up To Something’, ‘Geng’, ‘Of Lagos’ and ‘The Best‘ which also features Davido.
