Burna Boy Set To Drop A New Album In August 2023

African Giant, Burna Boy, is expected to dish out his new body of work in the month of August.

The superstar released a new track on July 28, 2023, titled ‘Big 7’ in anticipation of his forthcoming project. This new sound is a follow-up to his most recent song, ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ remix which featured rapper 21 Savage.

Burna Boy has also made available the pre-order link for his seventh album, “I Told Them,” which is scheduled to be published on August 25, 2023.

The album is anticipated to be a captivating fusion of melodic harmony and powerful storytelling that will demonstrate the artist’s development and unwavering dedication to artistic excellence.

Burna Boy has emerged as one of the major Afrobeats stars driving the global exportation of African music since achieving international success in 2018. He created history by becoming the first Afrobeats artist to win a Grammy when his fifth album, “Twice As Tall,” won the World Album Category at the 2021 ceremony.

He most recently headlined sold-out stadium concerts in the UK and the US at the London Stadium and Citi Field Stadium, making history as the first African performer to do so.

From his first two albums, it’s clear that Burna Boy would depart slightly away from his Afrobeats sound for his third album in order to create a body of work that speaks to a wider audience.
