Just In: Wizkid Loses Mum

Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer singer, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid has lost his mother.

Wizkid’s long-term manager, Sunday Aare, confirmed the news to reporters. According to him, Mrs. Balogun died in the early hours of Friday.

To be specific, Wizkid’s mum, Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun, died at around 1.30 am, Friday.

The deceased, Mrs. Balogun, was a pillar of support for her son’s flourishing career, often seen showing her support for him from the sidelines at concerts and events.

Wizkid, however, is yet to make a public statement regarding the loss.
