Tyla Speaks On Some Privileges Fame Has Denied Her

South African sensation, Tyla, in a recent interview with The Dotty Show, talked candidly about the cost of fame and what it has taken from her.

Many artists may not realize what they are giving up when they set out to stardom since it comes with a heavy price. During her recent guest appearance on Apple Music’s The Dotty Show, South African Afropop sensation, Tyla discussed her debut album, her goals for global supremacy, and the cost of having a well-known worldwide smash song like “Water.”

Prior to becoming a globally recognized pop sensation, Tyla Laura Seethal was an ordinary Johannesburgian girl. She became famous suddenly on TikTok. “There’s this theme park called Gold Reef City in South Africa,” Tyla said. I’m not able to go. It’s everything. I can’t just decide like this all the time. I am unable to say, “Leave me here, please.” I need to get accustomed to the idea that it must be a whole thing. Freedom is severely restricted as a cost of fame.

Tyla claimed that before she is permitted to travel anywhere, she must notify a number of people, including her manager, the drivers, and security. “It’s like I am living in a movie”. Tyla stated in the interview that she can no longer wear casual clothing because of the public’s propensity to make fun of celebrities. “I used to be the kind of person who would just walk to the store with two pairs of shoes, socks, hoodies, and unkempt hair. But nowadays, I can’t do that because, well, every image has to be perfect. However, it’s a necessary side effect.”
